Gen: need book title

I am looking for the title of a book described to me as follows:

The setting is Norway during the Nazi invasion of said country.  The
people of the community where the story takes place have a stash of gold
that they need to get out of the country befor the Nazis find it.  So
they smuggle it out with the help of the children who hide it in their
sleds as they go down the sledding hill.  The Nazis think nothing of
this becuase the children have always been sledding down the hill.  When
the children reach the bottom of the hill the do into a snow fort they
have been building.

The book was assigned to my sister-in-law to read when she was in 4th
grade (around 1980).

I would love it if you could help out.
