GEN: How to decide on AR goals

I asked this question on the AR listserv and got no response, so I thought
I'd try it here. This is our first time to begin AR. The info in the manual
about deciding on how many points for a team goal isn't really very
descriptive. I know this is something that probably requires experience,
but we have to have something to start on. Do you have any tried and true
ways of deciding how many points a particular team should try for during a
particular period of time? If so, please mail me quick with your method. We
really need to get this program started and I promised the teachers some
better info than that in the manual, so now I'm up against the wall.
