Last week I posted a humerous Internt site to be used with teaching Internet dis-informtion, or mis-informtion. This fictious Mankato, MN is an actual town represented in a fictious way. http://www.lme.mankato.msus.edu/mankato/mankato.html From the same author is the page below purporting information on the Burmese Mountain dog. Be sure and study the page very carefully to determine the subtleties of dis-informtion for yourself. http://134.29.12.207/akcj3/bmd.html Next the author has created a complete fictious town. This page is not as well developed, but is a wonderful teaching tool. The URL is http://134.29.12.207/newhartford/newhtfd.html These three pages should be used together in a lesson on valid information on the Internet. Contact the author of the pages at: E-mail: Descy@mankato.msus.edu Homepage: lme.mankato.msus.edu/ded/don.html Harry Willems, consultant SEKLS Harry Willems http://skyways.lib.ks.us/kansas/sekls/willems Consultant, Assistant Dir.
