Does it have to be on the Internet? Peterson's Guide to Independent Study ("The Independent Study Catalog," 7th edition, is the current version ) lists numerous such courses available by correspondence from established, accredited institutions. See http://www.petersons.com -- or look for the guide at a good bookstore. (The Web site, by the way, appears to have a TON of information.) Personally, I suspect that a correspondence class is still a better option than any Internet-based course -- but I admit to being old-fashioned in that regard.
