Dear LM_Netters,

You're always so helpful.  Maybe you can give me some direction now :-)  I
have been asked to find fiction for 7th and 8th grade L.D. kids who read
between 1st and 3rd grade level.  I currently have materials in the library
that are at 4th grade, but that's about as low as our collection goes at
this point.  Our special ed. teachers and teaching assistants are looking
for material that is not "babyish" in content.

I haven't yet searched the archives.  Can you think of any titles or perhaps
some series of fiction that might help?
