School librarians seemingly forget that other sources for the answers to
reference questions and photocopies of magazine articles etc. is the
nearest public library, public university library, and state
library....one can use the telephone to get contact them...when I worked
in a public library as a reference librarian, a large portion of my time
was spent answering ref questions that were phoned in by patrons...some
were easy and some not...sometimes I had to make use of the resources of
another library in order to answer the questions....One of the more
interesting questions I received via phone was, "How do you use a
bidet?"...
