Wanted - Freshman Novel

I'm back again with my request for a freshman novel.  I didn't get a lot
of responses to my question about a freshman novel.  Could you find out
what novel your freshman English teachers use in class and send me the
responses?  I would greatly appreciate it, since my freshman English
teacher is still desperately looking for a new novel to teach to the
freshmen next year.
