target: elementary world war II

I have a 5th grade teacher who would like a creative way to teach kids
about World War II using either literature or a research model.  I have
given her our small selection of World War fiction, but she is looking for
any ideas that might be more interesting.  Have any of you witnessed such a
project? Thank you in advance.
