reference for highschool

Hi,
        After searching through lots of catalogs, I am turning to you
folks
for your experience. Am looking for reference sources for high school
students, particularly in the areas of American Literature Critism, Health
issues, and meteorology. And any other well-used favorites would be
appreciated.
