Strengths and weaknesses of WWW information

Drawing on your experiences using the WWW for research purposes what can
you add to each of these lists below?  Please refer ONLY to FREE sites,
not fee based.  So far the following suggestions have been submitted.  Do
you agree or disagree?

Strong (reliable) sources of information on the WWW include:
 images, government information, current information, scientific
information, primary source documents

Weak or unavailable information on the WWW includes:
critical essays, full text periodical databases, in depth historical
information
