What cookbooks do you enjoy READING?  A few of my many favorites are:

anything by James Beard
_The Union Square Cafe Cookbook_ by Danny Meyer and Michael Romano
_The Dean and DeLuca Cookbook_ by David Rosengarten w/ Dean & DeLuca
_The Silver Palate Cookbook_ by Sheila Lukins & Julee Rosso (and all of
their other cookbooks!)
_Hollyhocks and Radishes_
_New York Times Cookbook_ ed. by Craig Claiborne

I check used bookstores and find some gems.  Send me your suggestions
and I'll post a hit.
