Wow --My thanks to all who sent recommendations for gay resources on a
middle school level.  Many asked for a posting, so here were the
suggestions, summarized --  (Please note that a few are geared more for
adults who work with this age student, and not all of the titles would I
personally recommend for middle school.  Please do your own research

Also, it was suggested to call ALA's Chair of the Gay, Bisexual, and
Lesbian Task Force, who maintain a list and present an award each year for
the best in gay literature.  Another suggested contacting Lambda Rising
Bookstore in DC for ideas, or PFLAG.  Thanks again to all contributors!
