Global Studies

    I am a teacher librarian at a small rural 7-12 Jr/Sr High School.  I have
taught two 7th grade Geography classes as well as the library the past three
years.  Next year the administration has added Global Studies elective for 9-12
to my schedule.  I will not have a textbook but will be able to subscribe to
Newsweek, U.S. News or Time for the class.  I have not been given much guidance
other than this is to improve test scores.  Our school runs a block schedule.
If any of your schools have global studies or a similar class offered, I would
be interested in any ideas, lesson plans, etc.  I would be willing to pay
postage, etc.  I am especially interested in schools in Michigan that have this
class or a similar class.
    Thank you in advance for any of your help.  Maybe there are web sites that
would help me.
