In case some TL's miss this notice on OZTL's can you post it to your Canadian/US listservs or to your friends? Thanks. GRB Date: Wed, 25 Mar 1998 19:32:19 +1000 From: GA & DF Robins <garobin@tpgi.com.au> To: OZTL_NET@listserv.csu.edu.au Subject: Mount Isa Children's Festival Fellow Teacher-Librarians (Oz and everywhere) One of our year 6 classes has been given the brief of co-ordinating the Mount Isa Virtual Children's Festival (which is the on-line counterpart to a week of art/craft/and cultural activities for the children of Mount Isa). Mount Isa is a large rural town in the outback. It is built on the largest underground mine in the world. It actually takes place in Term 3 (i.e. June/July) but there are workshops to register for in the meantime. Please pass the following information on to interested staff members and students. Exact details will be available at the URL below which will be updated regularly in the months leading up to the festival. We have one page up and by Mon or Tues should have another 5 or 6. Please have a visit, maybe your kids or you know of others may want to enter the competitions or be involved in the workshop. The co-ordinator for the festival is Cathie Hinman.
