I'm looking for reviews/recommendations from librarians who either subscribe to Compton's Encyclopedia Online OR have knowledge of Compton's CD versions. I work in a K-12 school complex which separates the schools (and libraries) administratively into a K-6 and 7-12 . Compton's Online offers a building site license for an annual fee of $499 which may be cost effective for K-12 student access via our Internet network. My questions: 1) Have you tried Compton's Online? 2) Is Compton's more "elementary" than World Book Encyclopedia (which many of our 7-12 students use, print versions and CD)? I'll post a HIT if I get sufficient feedback.
