There is a great reference source for selecting Holocaust materials for
different age groups. It is: Learning About . . . The Holocaust :
Literature and other resources for young people by Elaine C. Stephens,
Jean E. Brown, and Janet E. Rubin ; published by Library Professional
Publications, 1995
Chapters are: Background: We must remember; It Really Happened:
Informational books, photo essays, maps; They were there: Personal
Narratives, biographies, autobiographies, poetry; We learn from stories:
Historical fiction; We recreate through drama: plays; It must not happen
again: fiction, nonfiction and the final chapter covers organizations,
curriculum guides, journals, educational materials, media resources,
etc.
