I am now working on my purchases and am in a quandary about encyclopedias. The media specialist before me had a "schedule" for purchasing encyclopedias, but other purchases have "preempted" that schedule. We are a high school of 850 students and we have the following encyclopedias: 1995 Britannica (print) 1996 Britannica CD networked 1993 World Book 1989 World Book 1992 Academic American 1988 Academic American 1990 Encyclopedia Americana 1992 Collier's I know that we need more current encylopedias, but it is a big expenditure. Do you have a schedule for purchasing encyclopedias? How many sets do you have? For us,the World Book is the one used most. The others aren't very worn, but the World Book is getting very worn. I would love to hear what your polices are regarding encyclopedia purchase. Again, thanks for your wonderful advice.
