TECH: mac floppy problem

I hope someone can help solve this strange problem.......I have a Mac
Classic II computer on which I just reinstalled the system software
(7.0.1, I think).  It seems to work fine, except it keeps telling us
that every floppy we insert is locked.  Does anyone know what the
problem might be?
