Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

I recently received a very nice follow up message from the AOL Postmaster
about a spammer I referred to the America Online spam complaint address
(ABUSE@AOL.COM). I had forwarded the spam message with full headers to
AOL. I was surprised to receive such a clear explanation. Thought you
might like to see how AOL handles spammers from their service.

I greatly appreciate the strong policy AOL has with respect to spammers
operating from AOL.

I've received your report of America Online e-mail abuse.  Be
advised that I've investigated the situation using America Onlines
Terms of Service Agreement (TOS) and basic Netiquette principles as a
guide. I've taken appropriate action on the member's account,
however, due to reasons of confidentiality, I am unable to disclose
the nature of this action.
