Dear Friends,
Maybe it's just the time of year, but a few faculty members requested
information about sabbaticals lately. Some wanted the information for
themself, others for a spouse. They wanted to know what kind of projects
people do on sabbatical, where it is done (are there certain places set up
special projects like they imagined one did on sabbatical), funding, length,
usual patterns for taking/doing sabbatical work, etc., etc., etc. Basically,
the questions were very broad and in the very formative stage. Can anyone
help? Turns out we are all a bit undereducated on the topic and know
"sabbatical" by reputation better than in fact. Do you know of any online or
offline source that could provide answers to these questions? All I could
think of was ERIC. Are there others? Your help, as usual, will be greatly
appreciated and, if there are enough responses, I promise I'll post a hit.
TIA
