GEN: Digital Cameras

Our assistant superintendent just called and wants "an immediate"
price on the best digital camera.  I don't know the best digital
camera much less the best price.  So I need your help.  Please pass
on any info that you have on the specs for purchasing a digital
camera and the best places to purchase. I have read about the new
Sony with the 3.5 disk that just loads in a computer.  What about it?
