Greetings, We are working on a problem concerning suspected plagiarism. A student has submitted a poem entitled "Understanding Women". The teacher suspects that it is someone else's work (poet or lyricist). The first lines are: If you kiss her, you are not a gentleman, If you don't, you are not a man, If you praise her, she thinks you are lying, If you don't you're good for nothing. etc etc. (Last line) Oh Lord, Tell me what to do! Amen! There is a possibility the title has been changed. Elton John has a song by this title....not the same words. We have also checked Poem Finder and Grangers. The teacher claims to have spent _hours_ searching on the internet for it. Does this ring a bell with anybody? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I need to respond to the teacher by Friday May 8. Thanks!!
