I recently purchased a Sony Mavica with the zoom lens. Office Max had it
for $599 for a special. CompUSA gave a school discount for about $612.
It is a wonderful camera. Be sure to spend the extra for the zoom lens.

Friday night was a special program for 7th graders. They were presenting
their 4 month long special research projects on (what else--Texas :-) )
I used the camera to take pictures of each exhibit, several kids had
computers with Power Point presentations as part of their projects. I
gave them a disk with their picture which they then put into their
presentations in just a few seconds. I gave parents disks with pictures
of their kids work. Just a neat little camera, which costs more than my
first car. Oh, well. I am finding lots of creative uses for the camera.
Our best use has been to do make-overs of the staff using the
Cosmopolitan CD. Lots of fun for a faculty party!! I gave our principal
a new look with 1960s hippy hair. Isn't technology fun??????
