I finally was able to send back unsolicted volumes...actually two sets of
books from the African American distributers in Washington PA. If you
recall I asked for assistance in dealing with this. What I finally did
was email the head honcho and told him that we could not afford to ship
the books back (don't have a budget for unsolicited materials) and would
they please send us a return label. He called! Of course, he insisted
that he had spoken to me and that I had agreeed to take the merchandise.
What he didn't know was he was speaking to my hearing clerk and that I am
deaf. I called him thru the deaf relay and told him that in no way was
anyone in my office authorized to accept any such purchase and that I did
not have this money. If he did not send me a return label, I would treat
the books as a gift and stamp them in ...within 2 weeks. We got the label
right away and are returning the books now.

he was not very pleasant to deal with!

just wanted to let you know

regards,

roselle weiner,
librarian
