Someone was asking about "It was a dark and stormy night..." often
considered to be the worst opening sentence in the history of
fiction.  You folks might be amused to know that there is a
Bulwer-Lytton fiction contest which takes sentences submitted from
people all over the world and anually chooses the worst to win the
prize.  If you would like to read past winners' selections, or even
enter one of your own, the usual April 15th deadline has been
extended to June 1.  Check out the contest at
