HS Libraries & Community

I'm a high shcool librarian in Glendale, Arizona, and am beginning work
on finding a thesis for my Master's project.  One topic I'm considering
is how school libraries can be used to create a sense of community in
their high school -- or how to create a sense of community within a high
school library.  Does anyone out there have anything to share with me
about either of those topics... perhaps ideas that you've used in your
school libraries? I'd appreciate any input.  Thanks!
