Cache clean out

Dear Netters:
   Someone recently requested info about the Netscape cache used to
automatically clean itself out, but after reinstalling the system software,
this no longer happens and must be done manually.
   I deleted too fast and didn't get the person's name; but I would like to
know if someone knows how to correct this as I have the same problem.
   How can I get my cache to clean out automatically?  Running Netscape 4
on a Mac.
