Hi all! My second attempt at sending this message. My school is planning a multidisciplinary unit on Native Americans for November. They want me to read stories primarily about Eastern Woodland Indians. I'm having trouble finding books on the K-2 level. I thought about combining the First Thanksgiving with this subject but again, it's hard to find a story that will hold their interest without being overly long. Any suggestions? I take two kindergarten classes together for storytime so something I can even adapt to flannelboard etc. might also be helpful. Any ideas for book related activities would be appreciated also. Thanks a million! Doreen Shultz, Librarian Mary G.
