Thanks to all who offered advice/opinion. Some of you even got a little hostile! I received info from ALA and from a listserv that deals with copyright issues, in addition to a lawyer and several university professors (on other technology related listservs). Thanks to all. Though this was an issue that could have happened your responses made sure that it did not. It is sometimes very hard for teachers to understand why something they feel is in the students best interest and meant to help can be an illegal activity. We as librarians must continue to help them understand the copyright issue, that is very obvious. The legalese language is the problem and individual interpretation doesn't help. How I wish plain old straight forward language could be used...any way thanks a million!! A.
