Dear Friends,
I'm hoping someone can help me with a frustrating problem. I upgraded to system
8.1 on my Performa 6116CD and lost (sort of) my ability to print to my
HPDeskwriter 550C. The message I get is: The printer is not responding. Make
sure it is properly connected and turned on. Click ok to continue or cancel to
terminate printing. All connections are good and I found that by clicking "ok"
about 10 times, the printer will print. Usually during the printing, the same
message appears and I have to sit there and hit return, so it will continue
printing. I have tried downloading the new HPdriver off the hp internet site and
reloading my software.

I also lost the ability to play a CD in the background while I work, but I
figure that is more of a bonus than my printer working. Please email me direct
if you have some ideas that I can try.
