Dear Darlene and all--I write this to the whole group as there may be
some differing opinions out there.... In the June issue of *Information
Technology and Libraries* there is a fairly lengthy article "Successful
Web Pages: What Are They and Do They Exist?"  I quote: "Use only light
blue, white, or gray for backgrounds.  Do not use black."  It is a well
written article and one I photocopied for further reference.  If anyone
is interested and cannot obtain a copy, I will snail it to them.  Lois
