Some time ago I asked for suggestions of Christmas stories to tell to adults. Several people asked for a hit. Sorry to be so long in posting the responses. Following are the suggestions I received: Cajun night before Christmas by Trosclair The remarkable Christmas of the cobbler's sons by Ruth Sawyer also goes by the title "Schnitzle, Schnotzel and Schnoutzle" Politically correct holiday stories by James Finn Garner Norman Rockwell's Christmas Father Christmas by Raymond Briggs Merry Christmas Festus and Mercury Silver Packages by Cynthia Rylant Thanksgiving Goose by Caroline Fuller Bauer (substitute Chirstmas for Thanksgiving) No room in the Inn by Katherine Paterson Children of Christmas by Rylant "How the angle got on top of the Christmas tree" in the book Coyote Cowboy Poetry Emma's Christmas by Irene Travis The best Christmas pageant ever (would have to be adapted) A web site for Christmas stories is http://www.humorspace.com/admin/hsubh.htm#Christmas Some of these stories could be offensive, but they are tagged as clean or offensive.
