Gabe, I've replied to Bill privately, but some things need to be brought out into the open. Many people are at the mercy of their email programs. Not every program has spelling checkers (if you say 'spell check', someone's going to ask about the last 'spell' you checked. <grin>). There are also programs out there that won't let you change a Subj: line. Others won't let you back up to correct a misspelling. I'm lucky. I use a very flexible program. But... I don't use the spell check <grin>, I don't always check my spelling, and many times my grammar is simply awful. However, we do a good job getting ideas out and making our points clear. No one had any trouble deciphering 'plagerize'. I feel that email discussion lists are great for spreading ideas and exchanging information. We'll get the spelling and grammar correct when the more formal papers are written. A final note. Check the archives. You'll see that this discussion comes up periodicallly. It's nothing new and usually involves the same words misspelled. <grin>. Also, I don't want to scare off our non-USA, non-English speaking members, to whom Engish *is* a second language. Their requests are always understandable, even if the English construction and spelling is sometimes different. I would hope that I would do as well in their language.
