Yesterday I overheard my most wonderful Americorp Vista Volunteer tell students that 920 was where biographies of living people were shelved and 921 was for dead people...once I stopped laughing, I found my abridged Dewey Decimal book and opened it up to the 920/921 section. Later after reading the section, she sheepishly exclaimed..."But Kay that's what the librarian at the elementary school taught us!" Since it came from the librarian she KNEW it had to be right!
