I would like to publicly thank the person who sent the following to me
after I apologized to the group:

"...less and less people nowadays, are able to apologize or admit when
they are wrong...how refreshing! (I think this was the biggest lesson
that you taught.)"

Believe it or not, I read through my post on my computer screen three
times before sending it out. I will make no excuses, for I should have
read through it a fourth time and possibly even printed it out before
posting since I knew that I was setting myself up for major criticism if I
made any mistakes. People have told me time and time again that our eyes
glaze over mistakes on a computer screen much more easily then on paper,
but I didn't listen. This time I really should have taken that advice to
heart since I had been on the computer for a couple of hours by then.
It's nobody's fault but mine.

Anyway, I too am tired of talking about this. I really hope that the hard
feelings have subsided, for it was nothing personal on my part, just
something that had bothered me for a while. Unfortunately, I think that
there is no way the issue can be addressed without stepping on toes. In
the process, people opened my eyes to the fact that some e-mail setups
prevent correction of mistakes. Also, I was rightly reminded that English
is a second language to a good number of LM_NETters. I applaud their
efforts. Furthermore, the point made by someone about correctly spelled
subject lines is still pretty important to me for the purposes of
searching the archives.

That's all you'll see from me concerning spelling on LM_NET. Instead, I
think that from now on I'll simply follow some great advice that I got
just prior to this school year: "Don't sweat the small stuff."

Sincerely,

Gabe :-)
