We are revising our school's web page. I would like and the students would like to see more of their work and pictures on the page. The students would really like a yearbook type product and the administration is leaning more toward a handbook type product. I see something that incorporates both view points. However, as I start to think about posting students photos and work, I wonder about the need of securing some sort of release or parent permission for publishing either. When we were accumulating local oral history material, we had a release form that all contributors had to sign. I have a few questions that I would like to pose to the list: 1) Is such a release form necessary? Advisable? 2) Does anyone have such a requirement in their school? 3) If so, would you send to me a copy of the form? Martha Hawkins Martha M.
