The McCallie School, an independent school for boys in grades 6-12, has an opening for Middle School Library Media Specialist. This is a new position, in a new middle school facility due to open in Fall, 1999. The successful candidate must hold a minimum of a master of arts degree in library science (preferably with a concentration in library media) from an ALA-accredited program. He/she must have extensive experience working with automated library systems (preferably Dynix Scholar) and other instructional technology. Some experience working with young adolescents is also a necessity. Experience in a middle school library media program is preferred, and experience in organizing a new library would be helpful.
