Dear LM_NET Colleagues,

In an earlier message a participant noted:

Here is the (routine) message that was sent to the person:

Your message was routed to me (the LM_NET co-moderator) as part of the
automated review process for all new and resubscribed LM_NET members (as
well as those not using complete ID/sigfiles).

Frequently people are merely replying to an individual, and by using the
Reply command to send their response to that individual they also send it
to all members of LM_NET. In most cases, we recommend that replies be sent
directly to the individual who requests or offers information.

From the looks of either your message content or list of recipients in
your message, it appears that you may have accidentally sent it to the
entire group. Therefore: Did you really intend your message (below) to go
out to all of our 9,000+ members of LM_NET?

If you do want it to be posted to all members, rather than to an
individual, please let me know and then repost it-- as you normally would
to LM_NET@LISTSERV.SYR.EDU . Please be sure to include complete
identification as well:

You should be sure to include: Example:
1. Name, Occupation/Job Title Jo Booksworth, Librarian
2. Worksite Best School, Bestville, CA
3. e-mail address JBOOKSWORTH@BEST.K12.CA.US

Peter Milbury, Co-owner of LM_NET pmilbury@ericir.syr.edu
