GEN: Bookmarks

hen I came here 9 years ago, I "inherited" an enormous collection of book
jackets.  Now I no longer have some of the titles, so I decided to have my
aide chop them up (with the paper cutter) into bookmarks.  Maybe sometime
in the next millenium I'll run out, but they are free, often colorful, and
multitudinous.   Kids often like to piece them together, too.  Never a
lack.

Sometimes we take the background from bulletin boards (eg, contruction
paper) and cut that up, too, into strips for bookmarks.

And if we're really ambitious (and a little time available!) we'll use the
Ellison cutter for those backgrounds and turn the paper into seasonal
bookmarks!!
