Need list of recommended young adult authors

        Does anyone have a list of recommended young adult authors or know
of a place where I can find one.  I have looked at the YASL site, but can
find only lists by years.  Our high school English teacher has given me a
list of recommended authors, but they're adult authors, and I feel like our
kids are missing out on an important phase of their reading.
        If you have a list you would share, or know of a site, please let me
know.
