Price comparisons

Our fifth grade students are researching the year in which one of their
grandparents was in the fifth grade.  Does anyone know of a web site
that compares the cost of everyday items (such as bread or a candy bar)
in different years?
This is definitely a fun project but not one of the easiest research/Big
6 projects that we have attempted.  Ties in nicely with Grandparents
Day.
