Hello:

There has been a recent HIT on Collection development policies in
school libraries. There was a some response but in a very general
sense. What I need is something more specific.

I work in an NGO (Non Government Organization)
whose aim is education. We do both research and grassroots work in
public education urban sectors in Lima. Our patrons are mainly
researchers, college students, and teachers interested in education.
We are both interested in the pedagogical side as well as the
administrative side of the educational framework.

Could somebody reccomend me somo two or three basic books, papers in
journals or the such about colection development policies in special
libraries such as ours? Maybe some very recent basic book or
paper on collection development policies?

TIA
