ELEM: High interest/low reading

Does anyone have any recommended titles for a 5th grade boy with a 2nd
grade (barely) reading level?  I've already given the teacher some Step
into Reading titles, but she's still asking for more so that he has a
variety to choose from.  So many of the titles have things like "I can
read" or "beginning reader" plastered all over the cover so that it's
embarrassing for the student.  Any suggestions would be most
appreciated.  Thanks in advance.
