HIT: Magazine Circulation

We use small pieces of paper (pre-printed, copied and cut--done on our
own.)  On this paper:
______________________________(Name of magazine)
______________________________(Month and year)
Name
Grade                  Room No.
Due Date

These papers are treated like sign out cards.  It works pretty well, except
when a magazine is
late, the small papers can sometimes get lost among the sign out cards.

I would also like to hear how others handle magazines  if you are not
automated.
