SEC - Teen Read Week

In response to the many questions to my earlier posting -

Teen Read Week - scheduled for October 19-25; sponsored by ALA, AASL, NEA, and
other educators and organizations; theme is "Read...for the fun of it."  Check
the ALA site on the web for information and suggestions; posters and bookmarks
are available.

Yes, I will be glad to post a hit; however, so far, requests for results are
my only responses...please send your ideas of easily recognizable characters,
pets, dectectives, first lines, etc.  My hope is to create a set of
questions/contests in a matching format (easy for homeroom teachers to have
students check), maybe drawing for prizes, etc.  Suggestions are welcome, with
the emphasis on popular fiction.
