and found the average copyright 1986-87.  I was surprised it was this old--I
weed continuously and continue to buy new materials.  Can others let me know
what the average age of their collections is?  I want to know How we compare
and then be able to use it to justify more funding if neccessary.

I'm doing a workshop on automation on Oct. 7 and I want to tell them also
about
CD_ROM products that can help with inhouse retrospective. I've been using
Precision One and have found it very useful, although it doesn't have all the
books (what does?) and sometimes the record is very incomplete. However, it
does allow for editing (add in whatever other info you want) and it's very
easy
to then import the MARC records into your system.
I'd like to know what other CD-ROM products you may be using, how expensive
they are and how good they are.
