I thought I couldn't remember much about my childhood ;-) but this thread
is bringing back many memories. There is a sequel to Five Children and It,
called The Story of the Amulet, with the same characters (including the
Psammead), and they go back to different historical periods. I found it
fascinating, and read it several times, as I used to do back then. (Right
now I'm lucky if I can read books *once*).
