I will always be nostalgic about the Thornton Burgess animal books, largely because one of my earliest memories is of my dad reading them to me. I believe I learned to read following along with these stories. Also hearing the A.A. Milne books from my mom. For some reason Dad never read about Christopher Robin and Mother never read about Chatterer the Squirrel. Happily Mom and Dad are still reading away in their matching chairs, both vigorous at age 87 (Dad still goes to work every day and uses his golf club for a cane when he plays golf). Oh. and the Egermeier's Bible Stories, read by both Mom and Dad...Mary Ann -- **?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?** "Try curiosity!" --Dorothy Parker **?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?** Mary Ann Bell, Librarian York Junior High School Conroe ISD, TX Adjunct Reference Librarian Montgomery College TX mbell@main.com mbell@conroe.isd.tenet.edu **?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?**?** =-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-==-= All postings to LM_NET are protected under copyright law.
