Thank you so much, all of you who have already seen our Dewey Decimal System website and commented on it. The girls are just ecstatic over the replies on how useful you think it will be for you and your students. (It's only been password-unlocked 24 hours, and we've had about 40 written responses.) Several people have asked if they could add links to it on their school home pages. Please, please DO! This has been an incredible amount of work for us, but so satisfying to know it will be helpful to others! Whether or not we win a prize is becoming less important to them as they read the thanks from everybody who tells them how much they will use it with their kids. Please pass the address around to any library, school, education, whatever, listservs you might be on, or to any body NOT on a listserv that you think might benefit from its use. Share it all you want! Several people have also asked me about ThinkQuest. Go to this address: http://thinkquest.org You can find out about ThinkQuest (grades 7-12), ThinkQuest, Jr. (grades 4-6; our contest), and there's also one for future teachers. They have not yet published a list of the 1999 TQJr. entries, as the contest just closed at midnight March 31. But, be watching for it, because I am sure there are lots of other topics you might be interested in besides ours. You can follow this path: http://thinkquest.org click on Library of Entries scroll down to "ThinkQuest Winners" and click on it You can choose the winners from each year (3 years of ThinkQuest winners, and 1 year of ThinkQuest, Jr. winners) and see what's there. Some are wonderful sites, well put together by KIDS!! (and their worn out coaches, I might add!) Keep watching the TQJr page for the entry list. It should be posted soon. The TQ for jr/sr hi contest is at another time of year. http://thinkquest.org/tqjr/index.shtml Thanks again for your support. When your kids use it, PLEASE, if your computers allow it, let them email our team. So far, the adult input has been wonderful, but they would also love to hear from some KIDS! Have a great Easter weekend. Hope your weather is sunny!
