I enjoyed Jeannine Towler's post about about Marguerite Henry. I have read all or most of her books, some not till I was adult. I think she died fairly recently. She had a wonderful feel for people and animals. I must have been influenced too, as I have five Arabians or part Arabians. I also think that the Mary O'Hara trilogy (My friend Flicka, Thunderhead, and Green Grass of Wyoming) were wonderful.
